Sonoita’s wine country is located in the south eastern part of the state at an elevation of 5000’. Winters can be cold and windy with low temperatures in the teens and highs in the 50’s. Spring temperatures are in the mid 60’s with cool evenings. Summer temperatures cool down to the upper 50’s at night and heat up to the 80’s and low 90’s. The monsoon rains arrive in July, leaving 10”-15” of precipitation.
There are an endless amount of things to do and see in the area. Parker Canyon Lake, Patagonia, Kartchner Caverns, Sierra Vista, and Tombstone are just a few of the attractions in the Sonoita area. Sonoita has 6 restaurants, 2 gas stations, 1 hotel, and several B&B’s.
